Josh Gross has an obsession with ideas. Any shape, size, or medium – the opportunity to play with ideas all day is what drives his passion for advertising.
Working alongside creative partner Pedro Pérez at Energy for the past five years, he is best known for award-winning campaigns like Extra Gum’s “Sarah & Juan,” 5 Gum’s “The 85-Year- Old Regret,” Pearle Vision’s “Ben’s Glasses” and Bayer Aspirin’s “HeroSmiths.” He has also been an integral leader in winning new business for the agency including The American Egg Board, Avocados from Mexico, Champion Sportswear, and, most recently, Brown-Forman global.
Josh has worked in San Francisco, New York, Colorado, Germany and now Chicago, perpetually chasing down opportunities to learn the most and make an impact. Prior to joining Energy, he was part of the team behind the famous “Small Business Saturday” initiative, a socially-focused and multi-award-winning campaign for American Express. His portfolio spans a diverse range of clients including Visa, Best Buy, Gap, Extra, and Off the Street Club. Josh has received recognition from every major industry festival, including Cannes, One Show, Clios, and D&AD, and his work has been featured in major news outlets including the New York Times Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Business Review.
Outside of work, Josh is kept busy caring for his two newborns (one human baby, one fur baby).
